There’s something so special about a North Branch Inn wedding. Tucked in the Western Catskills since 1868, this historic venue blends cozy vintage charm with warm hospitality and breathtaking natural beauty. Think rolling hills, autumn foliage, and that effortless relaxed vibe. For Karina and Daniel, it was the perfect setting for a day filled with heart, laughter, and personal touches that reflected their unique love story.

As busy professionals, Karina and Daniel wanted a celebration that was thoughtful, fun, and stress-free. As their full-service wedding planner, my team and I were there from the initial vision to the final dance, ensuring their September wedding felt authentic and joyful.

Hi, I’m Kayce, the founder and lead planner of KR Occasions. My team and I specialize in creating weddings that feel authentic, intentional, and full of heart. Whether it’s finding that perfect Catskills venue or weaving in personal details that make your day feel like “you,” we love helping couples celebrate in style without the stress.

If you’re dreaming of your own North Branch Inn wedding (or anywhere else in The Catskills), I’d love to help you plan a day that’s just as meaningful. Take a look at my services and reach out. Let’s start designing your story together!

Their Love Story: From NYC Dates to Catskills “I Do’s”

Karina and Daniel’s romance started with a first date at Rockefeller Center, sparking a connection that led to favorite evenings sipping cocktails at The Dead Rabbit in NYC. As tea lovers who enjoy relaxing vacations with a side of exploration (their dream honeymoon? French Polynesia!). They envisioned a wedding that mixed tradition with personal flair. No strict rules, just meaningful moments with loved ones.

Morning Moments at the Inn

The morning began with soft sunlight streaming through the windows of the North Branch Inn’s charming guest rooms. The atmosphere was calm but full of excitement (the kind of happy energy that comes before the best day ever). Karina prepared surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, the room alive with giggles and excitement.

Karina’s look was effortlessly elegant: a fitted white gown with a sweetheart neckline, lace hem, and button-back detail that flowed gracefully. She paired it with loose waves in her hair, a floral hairpiece, and minimal jewelry for a whimsical touch.

Just down the hall, Daniel and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning of their own. Dressed in classic black suits with crisp white shirts, they kept things lighthearted. A mix of jokes, anticipation, and quiet reflection before the excitement began. You could feel how ready they both were to start this next chapter together.

A First Look Full of Emotion

When it came time for their first look, the excitement shifted to something quiet and emotional. They met in a secluded spot near the inn, surrounded by golden late-September light and lush greenery. Daniel turned to see Karina approaching, his face lighting up with a huge smile as they shared tears, hugs, and whispers. It was a private reminder of why the rest of the day mattered so much. Their smiles said everything, pure joy and anticipation for what was to come.

Joyful Portraits in the Catskills Countryside

Before heading to the ceremony, Karina and Daniel took time for portraits together and with their wedding party. The group looked incredible together! The bridesmaids shone in mismatched cream dresses, while the groomsmen added polish in coordinated suits.

Against the backdrop of the North Branch Inn and its sprawling countryside views, every image felt warm and natural. The laughter, the hugs, the excitement. It was the kind of energy that makes you remember exactly why weddings are so special.

A Heartfelt Ceremony at St. Peter’s Church

The ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Church, a beautiful, historic space that felt both traditional and deeply meaningful. As music began to play and Karina walked down the aisle, you could see the emotion in everyone’s faces. Their vows were heartfelt and genuine, with a perfect mix of laughter and happy tears.

When the priest announced them as husband and wife, the room erupted in applause. The joy in that moment was contagious.

Outside, the celebration continued as loved ones showered them with congratulations. The couple shared one last wave before hopping into their getaway car, grinning ear-to-ear as they drove off together toward the next part of their day. Meanwhile, a bus waited outside to shuttle guests to the North Branch Inn, where the cocktail hour was just beginning.

Cocktail Hour Charm at North Branch Inn

Cocktail hour at the North Branch Inn’s lawn was relaxed and inviting (exactly what the couple wanted). Guests mingled on the lawn under strings of twinkling lights, enjoying signature drinks and delicious local bites like mini sliders passed on trays.. The inn’s vintage bar and cozy outdoor spaces made everything feel welcoming and intimate.

The vibe was joyful, conversations flowing under the warm afternoon sun. It was the perfect transition from ceremony to celebration, and the couple even joined in before sneaking away for some golden-hour portraits.

Golden Hour Portraits

As the sun dipped lower over the Catskills, Karina and Daniel took a quiet moment together away from the crowd. These shots capture their presence (holding hands, twirling, and sharing whispers) among the peaceful countryside. It was the calm re-set they needed before the next joyful chapter of the night.

Reception Details That Stole the Show

Back at the North Branch Inn, we transformed the reception tent into a rustic dream. Twinkling string lights draped overhead, casting a warm glow over long wooden tables adorned with cream runners. Vibrant floral centerpieces bursting with dahlias, roses, and snapdragons in shades of orange, yellow, pink, and white added a lively touch. Table names like “Cusco” and “Manhattan” paid heartfelt tribute to cherished destinations, infusing the space with personal meaning.

Candles in glass holders gave the room a gentle, romantic glow. Each place setting was thoughtfully arranged, with linen napkins and elegant tableware that added a polished, welcoming feel. The pink raspberry buttercream cake, topped with fresh dahlias, sat on a rustic stand — simple yet stunning.

Dancing, Dinner, and Pure Joy at the North Branch Inn

Once everyone was seated, the celebration truly began. The newlyweds made their grand entrance to cheers and applause before sharing their first dance. A moment that felt tender and full of love. Parent dances and heartfelt speeches followed, with stories that had everyone laughing (and maybe tearing up a little).

Dinner was warm and cozy, with incredible farm-to-table dishes that highlighted the best of the region. As the night went on, the dance floor came alive (the kind of nonstop energy that makes you forget what time it is).

A Beautiful Ending to a Joy-Filled Day

Karina and Daniel’s North Branch Inn wedding was everything they hoped for. Heartfelt, joyful, and filled with love from start to finish. From their emotional ceremony at St. Peter’s Church to the cozy, romantic reception back at the inn, every part of the day reflected who they are as a couple.

As a Hudson Valley and Catskills wedding planner, days like this remind me why I love what I do. Creating a seamless, beautiful experience that lets couples be fully present. That’s the magic of it all.

If you’re planning your own North Branch Inn wedding (or a celebration anywhere in the Western Catskills), I’d love to help make it as personal and unforgettable as this one. Reach out today, and let’s start planning your dream wedding together!
