There are weddings that look beautiful, and then there are weddings that feel beautiful. Sabrina and Jesse’s Wylder Windham wedding was both. Set against the Catskill Mountains on a crisp November day, this Jewish wedding weekend brought together family, tradition, and so many personal details that made the celebration feel completely theirs.

We had the honor of working with Sabrina and Jesse through our full-service wedding planning package, guiding them from the early stages of planning all the way through their wedding weekend at Wylder Windham. From vendor coordination to timeline management to making sure every detail landed exactly right, we were with them through it all. If you’re starting to plan your own wedding and want that kind of support, we’d love to chat. Reach out to us here.

Now, let’s walk through this stunning day from start to finish.

Getting Ready at The Pines Inn

The morning started inside The Pines Inn, one of the historic, lovingly restored lodges on the Wylder Windham property. Built in 1854, this building has so much character, and it set the perfect tone for the day ahead.

While Jesse got ready with his groomsmen in one of the lodge rooms, Sabrina’s bridal details were laid out and waiting. The flat lay alone told a story:

  • “His” and “Hers” vow books in linen and cream with gold lettering
  • Velvet ring boxes in soft beige and blush tones
  • Crystal drop earrings, a delicate tennis bracelet, and a pendant necklace
  • A bouquet of white roses, peach carnations, hypericum berries, and astilbe

Sabrina’s gown hung in a bay window, catching the light perfectly. A lace dress with floral applique, thin straps, and a flowing train. The kind of dress that makes you stop and stare.

Jesse and his groomsmen kept things classic in black suits with black ties and white floral boutonnieres.

Salt Beauty handled hair and makeup for the day, making sure Sabrina looked absolutely radiant for what came next.

First Looks That Set the Tone

Before the ceremony, Sabrina shared two first look moments. As the wedding planners, we’re not usually present for first looks, but getting the photos back from the photographer is always a favorite.

The Wylder Windham grounds give you so many beautiful backdrops to work with, and these did not disappoint.

First up was the father-daughter first look. On the walkway in front of The Pines Inn, with the white lodge and bare autumn trees behind them. The emotion in that moment was palpable.

Then came the couple’s first look. Out by a rustic wooden fence with the Catskill Mountains stretching behind them, Jesse turned around and saw Sabrina for the first time. His reaction was pure joy. You could see how much that moment meant to both of them.

These are the kinds of photos that remind us why we love what we do.

The Ketubah Signing

Before the ceremony began, the families gathered for the ketubah signing. This is one of our favorite moments to coordinate because it’s so intimate and personal. Both sets of parents held the beautifully detailed, laser-cut paper ketubah together while admiring the document. It was a meaningful moment that honored the traditions at the heart of this Jewish celebration.

An Outdoor Ceremony Under the Chuppah

Here’s the thing about a fall Wylder Windham wedding. The scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting. But the ceremony space Sabrina and Jesse created took it to another level entirely.

The chuppah was a showstopper. A wooden structure draped with a tallit sat on a raised white platform, with the Batavia Kill and mountains visible just beyond it. Flower Blossom Design created lush floral arrangements on both sides in peach, blush, cream, and rust-colored roses mixed with autumn leaves and trailing greenery. The warm tones blended perfectly with the late fall landscape.

The outdoor ceremony space at Wylder Windham gave guests sweeping mountain views while Sabrina and Jesse exchanged their vows. Everything about it was intentional and grounded in what mattered most to them.

Portraits on the Property

After the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party took advantage of the grounds for portraits. Every corner of a Wylder Windham wedding venue photographs beautifully.

A few highlights:

  • The full wedding party
  • The bridesmaids and groomsmen group shot
  • The couple with their dogs. Because what’s a wedding without your dogs?

Magic Flute Photography captured every one of these moments beautifully.

A Reception Full of Personality

When it came to the reception, Sabrina and Jesse brought the same thoughtfulness and personality that carried through the entire day. The details were fun, personal, and completely on brand for them.

The audio guestbook was a standout. A vintage rotary phone sat on a table with a framed sign that read: “Sabrina and Jesse can’t come to the phone right now. Please leave us a message.” Guests picked up the phone and left voice messages for the couple to listen back to later. It’s one of those personal touches that creates lasting memories beyond just the wedding day.

The signature cocktail was another fan favorite. Called “The Lucarita,” it was a classic margarita described on the sign as “Sweet, smooth, and just the right amount of trouble.” The sign featured an illustrated portrait of one of their dogs. Personal, playful, and totally them.

Much Music DJ and The Music Boutique handled the entertainment, keeping the energy high all night long.

Cake, the Hora, and Dancing

As the night went on, Sabrina and Jesse cut their cake together at a small round table with a blush and peach floral arrangement. The cake was sweet and understated. A single-tier white cake with dark piping detail. No towering display, just something simple and meaningful.

And then came the hora.

If you’ve never been to a Jewish wedding, the hora is one of the most exciting traditions to witness. Sabrina and Jesse were both lifted high on chairs while their guests danced and celebrated below. It was one of those moments where you could feel the energy in the room just by looking at the photos.

The dancing went late into the night, exactly the way a great Wylder Windham wedding should end.

What Sabrina and Jesse Had to Say

After the wedding, Sabrina and Jesse left us this review:

“Highly, highly recommend Kayce for any wedding service! Kayce helped us plan our dream weekend wedding, and we truly cannot thank her enough. She went above and beyond at every step, always offering creative solutions to any challenge and seamlessly pivoting whenever our criteria changed (venue, food, you name it). She was consistently available, incredibly helpful, and brought a wealth of industry knowledge that kept us organized, informed, and on track with every deadline. Beyond planning and coordination, Kayce executed our vision flawlessly – from DIY décor for the weekend festivities to expert vendor coordination on the big day. Despite a few inevitable hiccups throughout the weekend, we were blissfully unaware of them and able to fully enjoy every moment (we still don’t know all the behind-the-scenes drama!). Hiring Kayce was the best decision we made, and we would recommend her without hesitation!”

Reading that never gets old. This is exactly why we do what we do. We want every couple to walk away feeling like they were fully present for all of it. Not stressed, not managing logistics. Just enjoying the celebration they worked so hard to plan.
